I’ve finally taken the plunge into art journalling, this is my first page. I’ve taken my inspiration from pages seen in official documents, when pages are supposed to be empty as a divider, but have a notice on them saying that the empty page is on purpose! It always used to make me laugh as the page isn’t blank if there’s a note there!
A huge contradiction!
The text has been stamped with black Stayzon, stencils used are from TCW, “Art is”, “Swiss Dots” & “Brick” Inks are all from Tim Holtz “Distress” range, spritzers from Tattered Angels and orange splatters are a stamp from Stampin’ Up! “Gorgeous Grunge” The torn pages are from an old book off my shelf. I’ve doodled around the edge of the page to add a discreet frame.
For a first attempt, I don’t think it looks to shabby. I’m pleased with it anyway!
I may try and video my next page! Stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by my art journaling blog. I love this page! Very funny–and interesting, too.

It’s a great page. You’re a bit farther in the process, for you’ve actually posted about your accomplishment. I’ve yet to finish an art journal page. I need to make the realization that even bad art is good art and slap up a post.

Thanks Cathy, you caught me by surprise, I wasn’t expecting anyone to find me after only one post!

Didn’t mean to freak you out. 🙂 I was exploring tags of personal interests and several posts popped up regarding art journals; yours included.
